NeNe Vaughn-Moore is a singer, songwriter, and multi–award-winning Gospel Recording Artist born and raised in Tallulah, Louisiana, and now residing in Vicksburg, Mississippi. In 2025, she was honored with two national titles at the Texas Gospel Music Excellence Awards (TGMEA): National New Artist of the Year and National Female Soloist of the Year. NeNe discovered her love for singing at the tender age of 13. Throughout high school, she showcased her gift in talent shows, performed with the Reuben McCall High School Stage Band, and delivered stirring renditions of the National Anthem at school football games. Her musical influences include Shirley Caesar, Deleon Richards-Sheffield, Andrae and Sandra Crouch, Deniece Williams, CeCe Winans, Whitney Houston, and Mariah Carey. Though she faced a season of drifting away from God, the loss of her mother to cancer at age 17 became a powerful turning point. Feeling God’s call tugging at her heart, NeNe rededicated her life to the Lord at 18 and embraced her purpose in Music Ministry. She began writing poetry that soon blossomed into songwriting, often receiving songs through dreams and melodies placed on her heart by God. Driven by a deep love for God, NeNe is passionate about using her voice to bring Him glory and lead His people into His presence. Her song “The Name” was featured on the Triumph Church Choir’s 2007 live recording, Our Song of Praise. She released her debut Gospel album, Jesus Be Alive in Me, in March 2011, followed by her sophomore album, I Just Wanna Praise, in March 2023. Her new single, “When I Close My Eyes – Reprise,” was released on November 28, 2025 and is available for digital download.
